Melanie Maas Geesteranus has been appointed as the new CEO of Invest International. In this new role, she plans to enhance support for Dutch entrepreneurs in their international business ventures.
Eager to get started, she expresses excitement about helping Dutch businesses scale their global impact. “This is important for our competitive position in these times of economic and geopolitical uncertainty,” she states. “Dutch companies are leaders in areas such as water management, sustainable agriculture, medical technology, and the energy transition. They have everything it takes to make a global impact. But we must give them the space and support to grow.”
Melanie is no stranger to the public and private sectors which makes her a great fit to lead Invest International the coming years. She was previously Minister of Infrastructure and Environment, State Secretary for Transport and Water Management, and Director of healthcare procurement at Achmea. Until recently, she was CEO of Porticus, an international philanthrophic organization.
