General complaints

Administrative Objection

Invest International Public Programmes B.V. executes certain government schemes, as mandated in the Enabling Act Invest International (Machtigingswet oprichting Invest International), on behalf of the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands. As a result, administrative law (including the Act for General Administrative Law (Awb)) applies to the execution of these governmental schemes, including the handling of objections with regard to decisions made on behalf of the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands. Invest International Public Programmes B.V. therefore has an administrative objection procedure.

You can submit a digital notice of the administrative objection by email to: legal@investinternational.nl

If you wish to object in writing, please send the signed objection to:

An administrative objection must contain at least:
a) the name and address of the objector(s);
b) the date;
c) a substantiation of the administrative objection; and
d) the signing by the objector.

If you do not agree with a decision, you can submit an objection digitally or in writing within six weeks of sending the decision. The date on the decision is the date of dispatch.

Competition Complaint

Invest International has a competition complaints procedure.

You can submit a digital notice of the competition complaint by email to: legal@investinternational.nl

If you wish to complain in writing, please send the signed notice of the complaint to:

A competition complaint must contain at least:
a) the name and address of the complainant;
b) the date;
c) a substantiation of the competition complaint; and
d) the signing by the complainant.

Professional (Mis)Conduct Complaint

Invest International Public Programmes B.V. executes certain government schemes, as mandated in the Enabling Act Invest International (Machtigingswet oprichting Invest International), on behalf of the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands. As a result, administrative law (including the Act for General Administrative Law (Awb)) applies to the execution of these governmental schemes,  including the administrative law (Awb) framework for professional conduct of public authorities, or in case of Invest International Public Programmes B.V., representatives that act on behalf of public authorities. The Enabling Act Invest International and Dutch administrative law requires to put in place a complaint procedure for professional conduct and is obliged to publish this complaint procedure on its website. Complaints Mechanism Affected People

The complaints mechanism affected people ensures the right to be heard for complainants who feel affected by an Invest International- Financed Operation in order to enable resolution of disputes and assist Invest International in drawing lessons learned for current and future operations. In this way, Invest International strives to implement a robust procedure and to communicate transparently about it to stakeholders.

The Complaint should be submitted in the English language by e-mail to the following email address: grievances@investinternational.nl

Submit the following Receipt Items when sending a complaint:

  • description of the Complaint and the harm suffered or likely to be suffered;
  • where appropriate, an indication which Invest International policies, international norms and standards and/ or national regulations in the applicable countries has/have allegedly been breached;
  • a clear description of the Invest International-Financed Operation and location to which the Complaint is related;
  • name and full address, telephone number and if possible e-mail address;
  • name of Invest International employee whom the Complainant had contact with (if Complaints Mechanism Affected people| Den Haag 01/05/2023 Page 10/16 applicable);
  • any other information related to – or relevant for – the Complaint, including an overview of actions (e.g. legal, contacts with the Client) that have already been taken to solve the issue.

Whistleblower policy

The Whistleblower policy is introduced to provide the opportunity for disclosure of any potential or suspected irregularities in ethical behaviors. This policy serves as a mechanism to speak up and voice possible integrity concerns in a responsible and effective manner.

The Whistleblower policy applies to integrity concern and ethical irregularities that could include, but are not limited to, indications of:

  • financial malfeasance, wrongdoing or fraud.
  • failure to comply with legal and statutory obligations.
  • dangers to public health and safety of persons or the degradation of the environment.
  • criminal activity.
  • breach of the Code of Conduct or any other internal policy of Invest International.
  • other improper conduct, discrimination, unethical behaviour or issues that could lead to serious reputational risk, and/or attempts to conceal any of the above.

Filing of a formal disclosure in the English language needs to be sent to Director Risk and Compliance Piter de Jong.
