Project summary
XS2Meds, an innovative procurement portal for the private and public health sector, brings together buyers and sellers in East Africa for medicine covering HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis, non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and cancer, lung diseases, pain treatment and vaccines.
We provided a €750,000 development contribution, via the Impact Accelerator, a facility we manage on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to support the import and last-mile distribution of 500 thousand units across 50 to 75 products for the abovementioned situations. i+solutions will use the loan to prepare the initiative’s roll-out, test its viability and assess its potential to ensure no medical need goes unmet.

The project will create new jobs in the Netherlands and East Africa by setting up an alternative supply chain.
