Circularity and waste

Globally, we need to clean up domestic waste and landfills, which are among the biggest methane emitters in the world. Dutch technologies can create energy and renewable materials out of this waste. Renewable materials
Materials play a fundamental role in all the aspects of human life. Their consumption has risen rapidly in recent years, reaching an unsustainable material footprint per person that is expected to increase further in the coming decades. The extraction, manufacturing, consumption, and end-of-life options of materials impacts economic, social, and environmental pillars.
The world is challenged by its own consumption pattern, with new technologies often making use of rare-earth materials that can only be found in a few places. Also, fossil carbon is used in high quantities. We are committed to reducing the need for these materials by partnering with businesses that supply alternatives. Transitioning to renewables reduces greenhouse gas emissions, decreases the need for rare-earth materials, and strategically helps governments to be less dependent on them.
