Our approach to managing impact
To understand the impact of our investments on people and the planet, we continuously monitor, evaluate and learn. This impact management cycle takes place at project level, or at portfolio and programme level, allowing us to steer proactively towards our ambition of creating impact on our focus SDGs, and the Dutch economy. At the centre of this is our impact framework, which requires efficient data management, measurement and analysis.
Impact focus
Our impact focus is mainly on creating decent work and economic growth (SDG 8) and climate action (SDG 13). We also align our investments to our sectors – areas in which Dutch expertise can make more impact on other SDGs. We establish indicators for each of these SDGs and contribution to the Dutch economy to monitor and drive impact.
