The Netherlands and Hydrogen

In the quest for sustainable energy solutions, the Netherlands emerges as a beacon of innovation, particularly in the realm of hydrogen. Positioned at the forefront of the global drive towards decarbonization, the Dutch government has been championing hydrogen as a key element in its energy transition strategy.

Sessions on Financing GH2 projects

As an entrepreneur you can visit several sessions and workshops on Hydrogen during the World Hydrogen Summit 2024. Invest International organizes the sessions featured on this page. Starting at Monday May 13 with:

Involvement of Dutch suppliers’ companies in green GH2 projects in emerging countries – what are the (financing) needs to make it happen?

When? Monday May 13, 10.30 – 12.00 CET. Location: Dock 15.

Dutch companies stand at the forefront of shaping the future of sustainable energy, and we believe several Dutch organizations can play a pivotal role in this transformative journey. Therefore we organize a special session focused on the groundbreaking GH2 projects we are (co)financing.

Insights from Dutch companies
You will hear from two Dutch companies, wishing to become a supplier to such green hydrogen projects in emerging countries, how they approach this. Together, we will discuss with you what it takes for you to make such step as well. What are your needs, what are your (corporate) financing needs?

What to expect?

1.   We’ll set the scene, summarizing Invest International’s green hydrogen approach, in close collaboration with the Port of Rotterdam and Gasunie.

2.   We will highlight some of our innovative green hydrogen initiatives in Africa, such as the SDG Namibia One Fund and the South African SA-H2 fund—pioneering blended finance endeavors providing early stage development capital aimed at fostering a green hydrogen sector and circular economy in the region.

3.  These funds, bolstered by esteemed partners Invest International and Climate Fund Managers and the Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia, represent a significant opportunity for Dutch companies to lead the charge towards a greener future.
