2.2 billion tons of food wasted

The company’s innovative modular biodigesters, named ‘Waste Transformers,’ empower organizations, including hospitals, football stadiums, supermarkets, and hotels, to manage and convert their food waste on-site, adding value to the local businesses.

Globally, a staggering 2.2 billion tons of food is wasted annually, contributing to 30 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions. The Waste Transformers have emerged as leaders in addressing this issue, offering solutions to convert food waste into biogas, heat, and natural fertilizers on-site, with installations at prominent locations like the Johan Cruijff ArenA and various places in Africa.

On-site food waste processing

The modular Waste Transformers provide businesses with a sustainable solution for their own food waste. The generated energy is fed back into the building, creating a closed-loop system. Moreover, the nutrients from the food waste act as a natural liquid fertilizer, showing promising results in growth trials as a sustainable and local alternative to polluting chemical fertilizers.
