Dit strategische investeringskader is ontworpen om de mondiale ontwikkeling opnieuw vorm te geven door duurzame, hoogwaardige infrastructuur en gelijkwaardige partnerschappen in belangrijke regio's te stimuleren. In dit artikel belichten we hoe Invest International bijdraagt door middel van de TeamNL en Team Europe aanpak, waarbij we verschillende Global Gateway projecten laten zien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Global Gateway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De Global Gateway is de strategie van de Europese Unie om wereldwijd duurzame en kwalitatief hoogwaardige investeringen in infrastructuur te bevorderen. Het doel is om:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Versterken van digitale, energie-, transport-, gezondheids- en onderwijssystemen.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tot \u20ac300 miljard vrijmaken tegen 2027 via een Team Europe-aanpak waarbij EU-instellingen, lidstaten, ontwikkelingsbanken en de private sector samenwerken.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Een waardengedreven alternatief bieden voor andere wereldwijde infrastructuurinitiatieven, met de nadruk op kwaliteit, transparantie en gelijkwaardige partnerschappen.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De strategie sluit aan bij de Sustainable Development Goals van de VN en de Overeenkomst van Parijs, en heeft als doel de wereldwijde investeringskloof te verkleinen, terwijl tegelijkertijd de strategische belangen van de EU worden versterkt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"De Global Gateway van de EU in actie\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/i7KMmlQL5gY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Waarom Global Gateway?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In het huidige geopolitieke en geo-economische landschap heroverwegen landen hun toeleveringsketens, connectiviteit en partnerschappen. Invest International neemt deel als onderdeel van Team NL en de bredere Team Europe aanpak. Wij presenteren ons blended financieringsmodel, projectportfolio en strategische bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van infrastructuur in opkomende markten.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De Nederlandse bijdrage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nederland wil met de Global Gateway impact cre\u00ebren in partnerlanden, het concurrentievermogen van de EU versterken en de toegang tot projecten en financieringsmogelijkheden voor Nederlandse en Europese bedrijven vergroten.\nInvest International speelt hierin een rol door haar vermogen om publieke en private financiering te combineren. Deze aanpak maakt het mogelijk om bedrijven te koppelen aan projecten die duurzame groei, innovatie en ontwikkeling stimulere. Als onderdeel van Team Europe leidt Invest International de uitvoering van het <em>Lobito Corridor Logistics Development<\/em> project, om Angola's ambitie om een regionaal logistiek knooppunt te worden te ondersteunen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Het Ca\u00e1la Logistics Platform vormt het kloppende hart. Dit centrale knooppunt verbindt waardeketens in de agro-industrie, lichte industrie en delfstoffen tussen Angola, Zambia en de DRC.\nMet meer dan \u20ac100 miljoen aan toegezegde infrastructuurinvesteringen in de Lobito Corridor, bouwt het project voort op overheidssteun. Zo verbinden we mkb\u2019s en gemeenschappen met nieuwe marktkansen en stimuleren duurzame economische groei. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dit initiatief ondersteunt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Handelsbetrekkingen EU-Angola<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Veerkracht van de toeleveringsketen van kritieke grondstoffen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nederlandse expertise in logistiek en corridorontwikkeling tonen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In samenwerking met de regering van Angola, de EU en andere partners helpt Invest International de Lobito Corridor te veranderen in een motor voor inclusieve groei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/investinternational.nl\/nl\/wat-we-doen\/overheden\/\">Wat we doen voor overheden<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kustbescherming Togo &amp; daarbuiten<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Een van de belangrijkste handelscorridors van West-Afrika loopt tussen Lagos en Abidjan, langs de kustlijn. Deze kust wordt in toenemende mate bedreigd door erosie en overstromingen.  Invest International ontwikkelt een kustbeschermingsproject in Togo, als onderdeel van een breder project. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wacaprogram.org\/\">Wereldbank-initiatief West-Afrikaanse kustgebieden (WACA)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tijdens het Global Gateway Forum 2025 viert Invest International, samen met de Togolese delegatie en Boskalis, de start van de kustbeschermingswerken, die medegefinancierd worden door de Wereldbank en het Franse Agence Fran\u00e7aise de D\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De combinatie van Nederlandse kustexpertise en nature based solutions met internationale samenwerking kan hoogwaardige, sociaal en ecologisch verantwoorde infrastructuur opleveren. Hoewel Nederland formeel niet betrokken is bij de corridor, laat dit initiatief zien dat Nederlandse expertise een zinvolle bijdrage kan leveren aan de veerkracht van de regio.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voor Togo gaat, na de succesvolle afronding van fase \u00e9\u00e9n door Boskalis, fase twee van start met de uitvoering, met een totale infrastructuuromvang van \u20ac55 miljoen. Invest International draagt \u20ac 2 miljoen bij voor haalbaarheidsstudies en \u20ac 23 miljoen voor infrastructuur, naast Agence Fran\u00e7aise de D\u00e9veloppement met \u20ac 20 miljoen en de regering van Togo, die actieve medefinancieringspartners zijn.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\"Op basis van ons werk in Benin en nu in Togo zijn we klaar voor grotere en samenhangende projecten in een Team Europe en Wereldbank aanpak\" - Lara Muller, Director New Business bij Invest International.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/investinternational.nl\/nl\/wat-we-doen\/sectoren\/waterinfrastructuur\/\">Onze expertise in water en infrastructuur<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Andere Global Gateway voorbeelden<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Invest International maakt deel uit van andere Global Gateway initiatieven zoals: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Agrilogistiek Noordelijke Corridor (Kenia-Uganda-Rwanda):<\/strong> Verbetering van de handel in landbouwproducten in Oost-Afrika door te investeren in koelketens en transportinfrastructuur om de voedselzekerheid en de export van kleine boeren te stimuleren.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Groene waterstof in Namibi\u00eb:<\/strong> Het ondersteunen van de groene waterstofsector in Namibi\u00eb met medefinanciering van infrastructuur en partnerschappen die aansluiten bij de klimaatdoelstellingen van de EU en aandacht voor Nederlandse innovatie.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rechtvaardige energietransitie in Indonesi\u00eb:<\/strong> Het vergemakkelijken van de overgang van Indonesi\u00eb van steenkool naar hernieuwbare energie. Met inzet van investeringen in schone energie, beleidsondersteuning en betrokkenheid van de particuliere sector.
