Het Phu My afvalwaterverzamelings-, -behandelings- en -afvoersysteem is officieel in gebruik genomen. Dit project is gericht op het verbeteren van milieuduurzaamheid en volksgezondheid in de provincie Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Vietnam. Dit belangrijke infrastructuurinitiatief, ontwikkeld door Royal HaskoningDHV en medegefinancierd door Invest International, betekent een grote stap voorwaarts voor de regio. Dit is het vierde waterproject in Vietnam dat door Invest International wordt gefinancierd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nieuwe afvalwaterzuiveringsinstallatie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Als gevolg van de snelle ontwikkeling van de woonwijken, industriegebieden en zeehavens van Phu My Town staat de lokale infrastructuur onder grote druk door onbehandeld afvalwater. De nieuwe afvalwaterzuiveringsinstallatie pakt deze uitdagingen aan door het milieu te beschermen en duurzame groei voor de regio te ondersteunen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geavanceerde technologie van RHDHV<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Royal HaskoningDHV bracht de Nederlandse kennis en expertise in. De installatie wordt aangedreven door RHDHV's baanbrekende Carrousel\u00ae-technologie en heeft de capaciteit om dagelijks 30.000 kubieke meter afvalwater te behandelen. Dit innovatieve biologische behandelingssysteem wordt wereldwijd erkend om zijn effici\u00ebntie en kosteneffectiviteit en is met succes ge\u00efmplementeerd op meer dan 1.200 locaties wereldwijd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investering in het waterproject<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

De totale investering van het project bedraagt \u20ac31,4 miljoen, waarvan \u20ac10,047 miljoen afkomstig is van niet-terugvorderbare offici\u00eble ontwikkelingshulp (ODA) van de Nederlandse overheid. Bovenop deze investering is \u20ac1 miljoen gebruikt voor ontwikkeling door RHDHV en \u20ac2 miljoen is vastgelegd voor exploitatie en onderhoud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Invest International, via haar mandaat om Nederlandse overheidsfondsen te gebruiken voor impactvolle internationale projecten, faciliteerde deze bijdrage en zorgde zo voor de succesvolle uitvoering van de fabriek. De resterende 65,5% van het totaal werd geleverd door het tegenwaardefonds van de provincie Ba Ria - Vung Tau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Economische groei en impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Het project maakt cruciale milieuverbeteringen mogelijk en draagt bij aan de economische groei van de regio. Het omvat de bouw van vier pompstations, meer dan 100 km pijpleiding en zal 30.000 huishoudens en meer dan 1.000 kleine en middelgrote ondernemingen (KMO's) verbinden, waardoor de levensomstandigheden van ongeveer 250.000 mensen zullen verbeteren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tijdens de openingsceremonie werd Hans Docter, CEO a.i. van Invest International, bijgestaan door Dani\u00ebl Stork, Consul-generaal van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden in Ho Chi Minh City, en belangrijke vertegenwoordigers van de provincie Ba Ria - Vung Tau, die het belang onderstreepten van internationale samenwerking en Nederlandse steun bij het stimuleren van de ontwikkeling van duurzame infrastructuur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
