Invest International investeert nu in Phycom, een innovatieve algenproducent uit Nederland met een ultramoderne productiefaciliteit in Veenendaal, die perfect past in de Agrifood-strategie van Invest International gericht op het transformeren van het voedselsysteem. Onze investering ondersteunt de onderneming bij haar verdere internationale groeipad en commerci\u00eble uitrol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phycom is een producent van algen voor de voedings- en voederindustrie. Algen zijn een van de meest effectieve eiwitbronnen op aarde; de CO2-uitstoot is bijna 40 keer lager dan die van vleeseiwit. De missie van het bedrijf is om voedingsproducten van hoge kwaliteit te produceren die de gezondheid van mens en dier op grote schaal verbeteren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investeren in Phycom <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Een van de belangrijkste redenen voor Invest International om in Phycom te investeren is de innovatieve productiemethode, die effici\u00ebnter en duurzamer is dan de conventionele productie van microalgen. Bovendien ondersteunt de investering van Invest International directe werkgelegenheid in Nederland, stelt het het bedrijf in staat om een internationaal uitbreidingsplan te ontwikkelen en draagt het bij aan SDG 13 (Klimaatactie) en SDG 8 (duurzame economische groei).<\/p>\n

De investering omvat in totaal 2 miljoen euro in eigen vermogen als onderdeel van een Serie A-financieringsronde om verdere groei van het bedrijf mogelijk te maken. Voor de totale investering van 9 miljoen euro heeft Invest International samengewerkt met Invest-NL, Corbion en Phase2.earth.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Algen: Voor een duurzame voedseltoekomst<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Alle partijen die betrokken zijn bij de investering waarderen de onderscheidende technologie van Phycom voor grootschalige kweek van microalgen en pleiten voor de kosteneffectiviteit en het duurzaamheidsprincipe van de systemen.<\/p>\n

Het Phycom-team heeft de afgelopen vier jaar twee productiefaciliteiten in Veenendaal gebouwd om de technologie en schaalbaarheid van microalgenproductie te bewijzen. Deze investering maakt de weg vrij voor intensivering van het Phycom-team op alle niveaus van de organisatie. Hiermee ligt ook de benoeming van nieuwe, aanvullende bestuursleden in het verschiet. Daarnaast zal het helpen om de marketingactiviteiten uit te breiden en verdere technologische ontwikkeling te financieren.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3x Aantrekkelijke Algenfeiten <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

De veelzijdigheid van algen als voedselbron rijk aan voedingsstoffen en hun potentieel om bij te dragen aan oplossingen voor het milieu, maken ze waardevol voor menselijk en dierlijk gebruik. Of ze nu direct worden geconsumeerd als voedingssupplement of indirect via dierlijke producten, algen spelen een cruciale rol in voeding en duurzaamheid.<\/p>\n
