Invest International heeft meer dan \u20ac46 miljoen aan financiering toegekend om de toepassing van Nederlandse glastuinbouwtechnologie in Vietnam, Ghana en Tunesi\u00eb te vergemakkelijken. De Nederlandse bedrijven die deze projecten leiden hebben impactvolle initiatieven ontwikkeld gericht op het bevorderen van duurzame lokale voedselzekerheid en werkgelegenheid. Van het opzetten van kassen in de Mekong Delta in Vietnam tot het kweken van een tomatenindustrie in Tunesi\u00eb, deze inspanningen zullen naar verwachting 3.500 banen cre\u00ebren. Nederlandse glastuinbouwtechnologie heeft een aanzienlijk potentieel voor het verbeteren van de voedselzekerheid en werkgelegenheid in opkomende markten, en de financiering door Invest International dient om deze zaak vooruit te helpen en onderstreept het leiderschap van Nederland op het gebied van tuinbouw en kassenbouw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kassen in de Mekongdelta<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Vietnam wordt momenteel een grote hoeveelheid verse producten, waaronder het merendeel van de residuvrije groenten en fruit, ge\u00efmporteerd vanwege het warme klimaat dat de problemen met plagen in de open landbouw verergert. Tot nu toe waren kassen niet beschikbaar vanwege klimatologische beperkingen en het buitensporige energieverbruik van conventionele kastechnologie\u00ebn.<\/p>\n

Orlar, met steun van ontwikkelingskapitaal van Invest International, pakt deze uitdaging aan door de eerste hoogwaardige technologische kas te introduceren in de warme Mekongdelta, uitgerust met Nederlandse technologie. Dit proefproject, dat gebruik maakt van bewezen technologie uit de hooglanden van Vietnam, zal naar verwachting de ontwikkeling van een duurzaam voedselsysteem in de regio katalyseren door de teelt van fruit en groenten met behulp van speciaal geselecteerde zaden.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voedseltechnologie in Afrika<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Iribov, een dienstverlenend bedrijf dat laboratoriumtechnieken aanbiedt aan plantenveredelaars en productiebedrijven, heeft zijn activiteiten in Ghana uitgebreid<\/a> met bijna 10.000 m2 met financiering van Invest International. Het bedrijf kweekt planten en weefsels in laboratoria en kassen voor de export van fruit- en sierplanten, terwijl het ook robuuste gewassen levert aan de lokale markt. Deze uitbreiding zal naar verwachting 175 banen cre\u00ebren en de kennisoverdracht naar lokale werknemers vergemakkelijken.<\/p>\n

Agro Care, gevestigd in de Nederlandse stad Maasdijk, heeft drie nieuwe kassen in Tunesi\u00eb voor het kweken van \"snacktomaten\".<\/a> De bouw van twee extra kassen zal begin 2024 beginnen. In de relatief verarmde regio Sidi Bouzid ontstaat een nieuwe industrie op een oppervlakte van 200.000 m2, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van Nederlandse technologie. Dit omvangrijke project, dat ongeveer 12 kassen omvat, maakt gebruik van natuurlijke omstandigheden aangevuld met waterhergebruik en energie-effici\u00ebnte technieken om intensieve tomatenteelt te ondersteunen. Het zal naar verwachting 3.500 lokale banen opleveren, wat cruciaal is voor de werkgelegenheidsvooruitzichten van de jonge Tunesische beroepsbevolking.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

De concurrentiepositie van Nederland<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Deze leningen dragen bij aan het versterken van het concurrentievoordeel van Nederland en haar expertise op het gebied van kassenbouw en technologie. Raymond Beimers, sector lead voor AgriFood bij Invest International, benadrukt het belang van Nederlandse MKB-bedrijven die internationale handel benutten om hun concurrentievermogen te versterken. Hij benadrukt het wereldwijde leiderschap van Nederland in de tuinbouw en kassenbouw en onderstreept de centrale rol die het land kan spelen in het versterken van lokale voedselsystemen en het verbeteren van de voedselzekerheid wereldwijd door middel van zijn technologie en expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
