Invest International has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to facilitate the development of public infrastructure projects. Invest International is making up to €300 million available to finance investments in sectors such as water management, agriculture, renewable energy, waste management, and healthcare.
Collaboration with Indonesia
“The Indonesian government has big plans to invest in the earning capacity of the local economy. At Invest International we have been working closely with Indonesia for several years. With the MoU, we lay a foundation for a more structural cooperation and create opportunities for Dutch companies,” said Hans Docter, acting CEO of Invest International.
Water management & agriculture
“With our financing facilities, we can contribute to the realisation of important infrastructure projects in Indonesia. Supporting projects in areas such as water management and agriculture is a conscious choice, aligning with Indonesia’s core priorities. And, since Dutch entrepreneurs are among the top international players, we expect that they will have good opportunities to carry out these assignments.

Doing business in Indonesia
“In the coming months, we will carefully explore with the Indonesian government where we can make a difference. Meanwhile, we remain in close contact with Dutch companies wanting to do business in Indonesia or expand their activities there. This way, we can help them prepare well for the projects that the Indonesian government wants to prioritise.”
The cooperation with the government of Indonesia fits within the Dutch government’s strategy of signing agreements with countries under the investment umbrella of Invest International to combine Dutch trade, investment, and development aid.
