Invest International has signed a USD 60 million term loan agreement with Nexperia B.V. to support the company’s 2026 global production capacity expansion programme. The financing will contribute to a series of capital expenditure investments across Nexperia’s manufacturing facilities worldwide, aimed at increasing output, modernising production lines and improving operational efficiency.

Nexperia, headquartered in the Netherlands, is a leading developer and manufacturer of essential semiconductor components that underpin nearly all modern electronic systems. Its technologies are found in industrial machinery, automotive systems, mobile devices, consumer electronics and a growing number of digital and energy‑related applications.

Strategic sector for the Dutch economy

The Netherlands plays a central role in the global semiconductor value chain, with high‑tech manufacturing contributing significantly to economic strength, skilled employment and technological innovation. By financing Nexperia’s expansion, Invest International is supporting a Dutch-headquartered company operating in one of the world’s most strategically important industries.

Semiconductors enable almost every digital product and industrial process. Strengthening Dutch capabilities in this field is essential for the Dutch economy and for the resilience of supply chains worldwide.

Digital, sustainable and resilient transition

The investment comes at a critical moment for global semiconductor demand. Chips are the ‘brains’ inside nearly all modern technologies. From smartphones and industrial equipment to electric vehicles and renewable‑energy systems. As countries and industries accelerate the transition towards digitalisation, automation and decarbonisation, access to reliable semiconductor supply becomes increasingly important.

Nexperia’s expansion programme is designed to increase manufacturing scale while integrating upgraded production technologies that reduce energy consumption and improve resource efficiency. These improvements contribute to the broader sector-wide effort to create a more sustainable and resilient semiconductor supply chains.

Supporting future‑ready production capacity

In addition to increasing output, the programme focuses on upgrading manufacturing technologies across several global sites. This includes advanced processes that lower environmental impact, enhance operational performance and strengthen the company’s ability to meet rising global demand.

By supporting these investments, Invest International reinforces the Netherlands’ role within the international semiconductor ecosystem and helps ensure that key technological capabilities remain anchored in the Dutch economy.
