We hold ourselves to high standards

Good corporate governance is crucial to our mission and for transparency. Founded in 2021, our shareholders are the Ministry of Finance on behalf of the State of the Netherlands (51%) and FMO (49%). Our core capital is provided by the Ministry of Finance and we manage funds on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

We comply with Dutch legislation and regulation, guidelines from relevant supervisory bodies, and internal guidelines. As a state-owned enterprise, we adhere to the principles and best practices of the Dutch Corporate Governance Code.

We believe that to carry out our mission, we should meet a high standard of corporate governance ourselves, and we support our clients’ organisations to do the same. Our governance is based on the Dutch corporate structure regime, with a two-tier board. We have a management board, a supervisory board and two committees which advise the supervisory board – audit and risk committee and HR committee.
